Introductory guides for common usages and deployment of playlog as a self-hosted service.
playlog runs as three pieces on your own hardware: the playlog-api server holding the event store, an mpv script or Firefox add-on capturing sessions, and playlog-sync shipping captured events from players to the server.
The NixOS module (services.playlog) and the Home Manager module (services.playlog-mpv) wire the pieces together declaratively: known devices get their identity assigned from a configured peer-address map, and when bearer auth is enabled a device token’s label identifies the device instead.
